Connecting a contact with a Telegram bot

Contacts who have interacted with your Telegram bot can be messaged with Symplify instant messages for Telegram. These contacts will have a unique user ID (in Telegram) and this same ID also needs to be added to the contact in your Symplify database in order for the user to be contacted with Symplify instant messages for Telegram. This user id will be represented on each contact in an attribute called telegramId.

To create this attribute, go to Account settings > (Audience) Recipient attributes.

Click on Add attribute and name it "telegramId".

Then select Purpose: Telegram and save.

Now you can add id's for your contacts (on both normal and test lists) and create and run your first sendout!
