All your recipient data is stored in a database which you use whenever doing a sendout or analyzing customer activity.
In this article you'll learn about what you can see and do on a recipient list:
- List types
- Lists overview
If you're uncertain about the database structure in Symplify, please begin with this article.
By clicking the list name you’ll enter the specific list where you can overview your list statistics, search for specific recipients or do additional imports and export.
There are different types of lists in Symplify which have different areas of use:
All your contacts and contact data is stored in a normal list and this is the only list type that is available for sendouts. Add segments to target specific groups in your normal list.
Testing your sendouts is important and you then use a test list to do so. You can have as many test lists as you want, containing one or more contacts storing the data you want. There can be no more than 100 recipients in a test list.
A passalong list is an older method of storing contact data on recipients. This list type is not available for sendouts.
By clicking on Recipients in the main menu you'll end up on the overview for your list(s). Here you can see the name(s) of your list(s), the number of contacts, when the list was last updated and the list id.
View specific list
To get detailed statistics of your recipient data you can click on the listname and from here you can check numbers and details for used clients, browsers, email domain usage and list attribute data breakdown (attribute data) for your different channels. Switch between the tabs to view each category.
The list overview provides general statics for your list.
Here you'll view statistics concerning email clients, domains and recipient attributes.
In the sub menu, click the category you want to dig into:
On which devices does your recipients open your emails?
Which domains does your recipients use?
Get an overview of the values for your recipient attributes.
To look at samples of your recipients you select Recipients. Here you can search your database to find a specific recipient or select to view any of the recipients in the preview list.
By clicking Options > View you'll go to the profile of your selected recipient. Here you can view the profile, message activity, purchase history, and view (and edit) all recipient attributes.
Here you can also manually unsubscribe a contact from email or SMS.
You can view the message history to a recipient and if the recipient interacted with the message or not and also click View all details to view the received message.
If you don't have an automatic database import you can update your database manually by clicking on the Import tab.
If you don't have an automatic database export you can export your active contacts manually by clicking on Export. You can export everyone or by recipient interaction and also select the attributes you want to include in your exported file.
Here you can simply rename your database (and delete it if you no longer want to keep it, be careful though; all data will be lost).
