This is where you can manually remove personal data (according to your GDPR Configuration) or find the integration method if you want to manage the anonymization from i.e. your CRM (whenever the API method is called, Symplify will run an anonymization according to your configuration).
Please note that a configuration must be saved before you can start to use this functionality.
Find your way to Account settings > (Audience) GDPR Anonymization.
Manually anonymize personal data
- Select in which way you want to identify the recipient, originalID or email address.
- Write your identifier in the field.
- Select the list in Symplify where the recipient exists OR select all lists if your unsure or if you suspect the recipient may exists on more than one list.
- Click Run now.
- Confirm (“This can’t be undone”)
Managing Contact anonymization manually is not recommended. If you have several integrated services where this should be done, there is always a risk of missing an update.
Anonymize by API
To ensure a tight and secure process we recommend integrating Contact anonymization with the API in order to update all your services at once.
