We are currently in the process of launching our new user Interface therefore we have made some changes in expertise. If you’ve not been informed about this and are still using the current UI go to the original article, see link below.

Learn how this was done in the old interface!

Please note that DataHub rules is an add-on feature, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

DataHub rules enables you to create segments based on the transactional data you store in the DataHub. If you are interested in the DataHub rules features but do not yet have a DataHub setup, please reach out to your designated Customer Success Manager.

To start segmenting with the DataHub rules, click on Create on the left-side menu (blue plus icon). After that, simply choose Segment and give it an appropriate name. By pressing Add (under the Big data query option) and then pressing Add again (next to Conditions), you will see the drop-down menu with your available DataHub rules.

The conditions are semi predefined and you can add parameters to target your specific group of contacts. When you run a DataHub rule, it will return a list of recipients that matches the conditions. Please note that blocked or self excluded recipients will be included in the list, however they will not receive any communications once the segment is used for a journey. For filtering that has open text, the field is case sensitive and needs to match the format of how you send the data (for example when filtering on a specific sports competition).

CURRENCY FILTERING: For rules that has the possibility to filter on currency, a dropdown menu will showcase all possible currencies that you are sending to the Symplify DataHub.
OPEN TEXT FILTERING: For rules that allow open text (not numbers), such as
“In sports" and “In competition” (37. Sports Bets), or “Game category” and “Game name” (33. Casino Bets), the field requires the text to match the format in which you send this data to Symplify.
