How do I have the year automatically displayed at the bottom of my email?

Use a snippet to show the current year in your email, for example in a copyright line in the footer. The year is taken from the date the message is sent, so you never have to update it by hand.

Create the snippet

  1. Go to Content > Snippets and click Add.
    The Snippets list with the Add button highlighted
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Name: currentYear
    • Description: Shows the year the message is sent
    • Code: {{date 'yyyy' message.sendtime}}
    The Add snippet panel filled in with the currentYear snippet
  3. Click Save.

The Usage box at the top of the panel shows the tag to use in your content: {{snippet 'currentYear'}}.

Add the snippet to your email

  1. Open your email and go to the Content tab.
  2. Click in the text where the year should appear, for example after © in your footer.
  3. In the right-hand toolbar, click the Attribute tags icon. Your snippets are listed under Snippets.
  4. Click {{snippet "currentYear"}} to insert it.
    The Snippets list in the email editor with the currentYear snippet highlighted

Example footer text: © {{snippet "currentYear"}} Nordic Outdoor AB, which renders as © 2026 Nordic Outdoor AB in a message sent in 2026.
